Unlike a website, image hosting sites offer the photographer a chance to engage with their audience and gain valuable tips and insights into their work. However, the largest percentage of images receive no feedback at all. A ‘thumbs up’, a ‘like’ or ‘good job’ offers no help to the photographer.
Two photographers understood the problems with other image hosting services and created 100asa.com. Their photography platform idea was not only to encourage curating but make it the only way for photographers to show their professional images.

Re: My London street photography – 2015 so far

Nice shots!

Re: 500px.com – where quality meets simplicity

So it was a post on 2011 and now in 2016 it can be definitely said that 500px has done an incredible job. Its so popular now a days and many photographers even consider it as a better choice than Flickr! A long way to go 500px!

Re: My London street photography – 2015 so far

Great stuff, thanks for your kind words. In the end, as long is it is still instagram and not latergram, your medium should not really matter.

You can find me on insta @azhrawr .

I know the quality of some photos is not ZOMG, but that's not the point of this medium is it? That's just a bonus.

Re: Chasing the storms - lightning images | Michal Dzierza

Cool! The only drawback is that the new layout is less practical for browsing. I cancelled my pro account and Yahoo is going to re-pay the difference. As I don't like the new layout I will go back to self hosting my image galleries.

Re: DSLR pictures on Instagram.
